Who said foreign fandom is all about USA and Indonesia? There’s europe, and south america too. It’s not common to have a representative of Chile, and the more important it is to have his voice heard!
First, introduce yourself : your name (or nickname), age, status (job, student, etc)
Hello, My name is Alfredo, i’m 27 and i work administrative assistant.
Do your acquaintances know that you have idols as your hobby? What do they think of it?
Yes, my mother, brother and sister, know about this.
They thing is a good thing, because is a healthy hobby, even if I spend money on it, they don’t seem to bother about it. My nieces and I, watch some MV from time to time, we sing along and even they try the choreography from the video… is some kind of funny and cute at the same time.
I have friends who like Idols too, mostly from different cities and countries around the world.
How did you got to know Keyakizaka? Were you into other idols beforehand?
At first, thanks to Tumblr, I get to know about BABYMETAL, then I meet Sakura Gakuin, because I wanted to know more about the group. Then, thanks to Youtube, I meet AKB48 and from there… I’m embarked on a wonderful and delightful trip.
From AKB, I meet all the other sister groups: SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48.
Then I found the rival group: Nogizaka46 in 2015 and later, I found their music more awesome than AKB.
Then, in a Facebook group, a friend of mine posted something about the sister group of Nogizaka, the members of that group and the pictures of the girls.
The first episodes of Keyakkite, Kakenai?, made me feel that these girls, would be great in the future… and I wasn’t wrong.
Who is your oshimen, and why? What do you think is her main appeal? (Or are you a DD)
My oshimen is Sugai Yuuka-sama
She’s an natural leader.
I think her Ojou-Sama/Ponkotsu kyara is awesome.
Her appeal is wherever she does, she does thinking about the whole group and the members. Also she’s so beautiful (she stills reminds to Sayanee from NMB48)
I also like Nagahama Neru, Koike Minami and Moriya Akane (her smile reminds me to Mirukii, ex NMB48) but Sugai-sama is my Oshimen.
Have you been to concerts before? Or handshake? If yes, what was your impressions?
I never been in a concert or handshake, is my biggest dream.
Do you collect goods, like towel, glowstick, or cards? How much do you spend for your idol hobby in average?
I have some photoset from girls of HKT, a glowstick and some magazines and photobooks.
Recently, I buy bought the photobook of Nagahama Neru.
What’s your favourite A-side? And why?
Kaze ni Fukaretemo
The rythm, the melody, the MV and the dance… although in the live perfomances, Techi doesn’t smile, the power of the whole group make you sing with the girls, especially the “turu tu tu” part.
Where do you get your informations? Social network, video platform, magazine, others?
I get the info on Twitter, some pages on Facebook and forums.
What do you think of the japanese fandom? Have you interacted with them in real life or just Social network?
Some of them are too much hardcore and devoted to their oshimen. I don’t interacted with them but I have some friends who know some Japanese fans.
They say they are good people and they are most than willing to help to other fans.
What do you think of the foreign fandom? People being fans of a japanese group, completely different of their culture? Do you think Management should show interest going more global?
Well, I can only speak about the LatinAmerican fandom.
I guess the Latin American fandom is like every other fandom, but we are an small group of people. They are more people into AKB and others Idols than Keyaki.
Keyakizaka is gaining more people little by little, thanks to the people who translate the MVs and some segments of their program to spanish, and this is good for us.
I think the Management knows about the international fandom, knows about the people who help to spread the word about the group, the people who share the music videos, who translate every interview, video or anything about the girls.
But I thing they are scared: scared about may happen in a long term. That why this new “telenovela” is some kind of 1st step to bring the Idol Culture to the foreign fandom.
Recently Hiragana and Kanji are doing more and more activities separately. What do you think of it?
I think Hiragana and Kanji from a beginning were seen as “Senbatsu” and “Unders”, but later, Hiragana began to gain their place and stopped to be called that way.
Hiragana is strong and with the 2nd Gen they are more strong than ever. They have the charisma, the beauty and the power to be more than the “2nd Team of Keyakizaka”
Kanji, in the past 2 singles(Fukyowaon and Kaze ni) depended so much of Techi and that was bad. Because of that, well, we all know what happen in Uta Gassen in last December.
Recently hiragana 2nd gen has debuted their activities. What are your expectation for them?
I’m still dont know much about the 2nd Gen, but with their presentation on KeyaKake, I already see that they have some weird and excellent characters for the group.
With the new show for Hiragana, I expected to see more of their kyaras.
They have the 2nd Ace and the Sub-Captain for Hiragana already: Kosaka Nao and Watanabe Miho.
Recently we’ve seen Yuichanzu Wcenter for Glass o ware. What are your thoughts on changing center?
I think this song was for Yuichanzu from the very beginning. But the management in the last minute, give the center position back to Techi.
Why I think this? The choreo… the choreo seem to be for a W-Center.
Yuinchanze looks awesome in that position.
Japanese and Foreign culture diverge on some topic, like love ban rule. What is your opinion on this?
The love ban rule….
Personally, I think is an absurd rule that only makes the girl miss everything that she sings about.
Also, is something the Idols and some fans share… really, just thing about it.
Some male fans doesn’t have a girlfriend and dedicate their life for the girls.
Some Idols doesn’t have a boyfrined and dedicate their Idols life to the fans.
But some of them break that rule; some Idols get a boyfriend and they are force to graduate from the group or the agency, some male fans get a girlfriend and they stop supporting they oshimen.
In some way, is the same for the Idol and male fan.
Overall, What do you think makes keyakizaka different? What do you think of the current keyakizaka? Doing well or points to improve?
First of all, the perfomance.
Their performances are always full of energy, something that not many Idol groups have.
Each live performance, they present something different, they show more and more energy in each dance step.
The lyrics of their songs always speak of challenging adults, not allowing themselves to be influenced by them, to believe in oneself, to believe in a world of love. And all that in just 6 singles. I think is awesome.
The only “but” is about the Management:
They have shown again and again that their mistake has led to serious consequences for the group, like the Uta Gassen, the hiatus of Techi, and for the Kanji Keyaki, the Budokan.
They really need to things not one, not two, not three, but ten time before made a decision, because their mistakes is only bad for the girls.
Thank you for your time. If you have a shoutout to do, please go ahead.
